Alvin Absher

Mr. Alvin L. Absher, age 81, died Monday, July 20, 2009. He was born in Muskegon, MI on June 1, 1928 to Maston & Dora (VandenBosch) Absher and served his country in the US Army. Alvin married the former Ella Allen on January 27, 1958. Mr. Absher had been employed as a Guard at Pinkerton Security where he never missed a day. He will be greatly missed.

Wife of 51 years, Ella; daughter, Sandra Absher; adopted son, Donald Gerber; adopted daugter, Dee Saville; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; 2 adopted grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Joni Absher, Pat Absher,

Violet Absher; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Goldie; daughter, Beverly Absher; sons,

Alvin Jr. & William Howard.

Services: Saturday, July 25, 2009, 10:00AM at Celebration Community Church, 1260 W. Sherman.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.

And let perpetual light shine upon him.

May his soul rest in peace.
