Maxine Adams

Passed away on October 25, 2004 at Heartland Health Care Center. Maxine was born on May 4, 1928 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Rolland and Winifred (Veldt) Adams. She was a member of the Vicksburg United Methodist Church. She previously owned her own beauty shop and worked as a a beautician in other shops around the Vicksburg area for many years. She enjoyed knitting and through the Senior Services knitted caps for the babies at local hospitals. She enjoyed visitors and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Robert Adams. Surviving are a sister, Genevieve Bowyer; 5 nieces and one nephew, Susan Hayes, Judy Mayes, Leah Buikema, Tom Bowyer, Cheryl Benthem, and Sally Nook; and several great-nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vicksburg United Methodist Church, Pastor Buff Coe officiating. Interment of cremains will be in Vicksburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vicksburg Community Center. Arrangements by REDMOND Funeral Home 4100 S. Westnedge Ave.
