Benjamin Hungerford

HUNGERFORD - Benjamin F. Hungerford, aged 66, of Lake City and formerly of Wayland, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009. Ben was born on June 30, 1942 in Wayland, and graduated from high school and went to college. He worked for Chrysler as a field manager and on computers for 34 years. He is survived by his wife of 25 years of marriage, Ruth; children, Brad (Janet) Hungerford, Amy Hungerford; granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Emma; stepchildren, Bernie, Matthew, Robert, Chad Schlicklin; also seven step-grandchildren. Ben and Ruth lived in Brighton, MI after they were married. Upon retirement, they moved up north where he lived out his dream of flying his home built plane. Ben made many friends that meant so much to him, especially Keith, who continues to keep his dream plane flying. Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Fr. Christian Johnston officiating. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association. The family will greet relatives and friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
