Florence Jeltema

JELTEMA - Florence Marian Jeltema, 86, of Charlotte, MI, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Mrs. Jeltema was born October 31, 1922 the daughter of Herman and Marie (Petersen) Hansen. Mrs. Jeltema was a grocery store clerk until her retirement in 1983. Florence enjoyed crocheting, making numerous baby blankets for her family and friends. She was an avid reader of Danielle Steele novels. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Johnson of Gurnee, IL, Sally Canko of Des Plaines, IL and Laurie (Ron) Mendala of St. Charles, IL; son, Steven (Sally) Jeltema of Charlotte; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1981. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2009 at Fairplains Cemetery in Grand Rapids with Rev.
