Mr. Nathan J. Roelofs, age 87, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008. He was born in Zeeland, MI on February 12, 1921 to Bert & Antoinette (DeJonge) Roelofs and served his country in the US Army during WWII and in Korea. He later married the former Helen Hoffman on August 14, 1946 and she preceeded him in death. Mr. Roelofs had been employed as a Teacher at Muskegon High School for 40 years until retiring. He was a lifetime member of Westwood Reformed Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing & collecting coins.

Sons, Scott (Gayle) Roelofs of Midland, Steve Roelofs of Chicago, Jeffrey Roelofs of Grand Rapids; daughters, Nancy Bloomquist of Muskegon, Nathelee (James) Bowman of WI; grandchildren, Keith Petrocik, Nicholas Bowman, Jonathan Roelof, Allen Roelofs, Troy Bloomquist, Stephanie Bowman; great granchild, Keith Petrocik; brother-in-law, Kenny Hoffman; sisters-in-law, Lavina Hoekstra, Joyce Fett, Noreen Roelofs.

SERVICE

Monday, December 1, 2008, 2:00 PM at Westwood Reformed Church with Rev. Arland Tinclay officiating. Interment at Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
