Clarence "Lester" Ongley

Died Monday afternoon November 17, 2008. Clarence was born August 4, 1931 in Centerville, Pennsylvania a son of James and Florence (Brown) Ongley. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident for 20 years coming from Indiana. He was employed with the John Glas Company before retiring in 1966. He was also a member and Elder of the North Presbyterian Church; and the Togetherness Group. He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter. He is survived by four children, Brenda Keesee and her significant other, Robert Maue both of Baldwin, MI, David (Barbara) Ongley of Kalamazoo, Terri Ongley of Alabama, and Timothy Miller of Anderson, IN; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, James Ongley of Shelbyville, MI; a sister, Verna Conrad of Greenwood, IN; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Monday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the North Presbyterian Church. 343-1508.
