Robert "Bob" Lampen

Robert "Bob" E. Lampen, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2008 at age 84. He is survived by Fran, his devoted, loving wife of 62, whom he dearly adored. They were blessed by three children, Mike (Rae) Lampen, Gail (Ron) Fuller, Mary (Chris) Lampen-Crowell; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He courageously lived with Alzheimer's showing the same dignity, strength and humor maintained throughout his life. His ever present smile and optimistic nature will be missed by everyone who knew him. His family wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of his caregivers, especially in unit 1 Red and request that any memorials in lieu of flowers, be given to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. A celebration of Bob's life will take place on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 3215 4 Mile Rd. N.E. Pastor Frank Rothfuss officiating. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. at church.
