Vicky Buck

Vicky Buck, age 53, of Holland, went to be with her Lord on Monday August 4, 2008. Her faith and love of God carried her through two bouts with cancer. On Monday, God called her home. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the home of her mother.

Vicky Lynn Buck loved life and her family including her husband, Jay Buck of Holland; her son, Cody Buck of Holland; her mother, Judith Looman of Holland; her sister, Karen Walters of Holland; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Al and Joan Buck of Holland; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, and uncles, and cousins.

Vicky loved writing and had written for several local publications. When asked about herself she replied, "According to my grandfather I was 'hatched' in one of the incubators at his Great Northern Hatchery. Writing is my life and my passion. It's a world where I excel and absolutely love what I do. I don't like statistics, police reports, mean people or snakes!"

Anyone who knew Vicky found her to be a "free spirit" full of love for every living being.

A memorial service will be held on Friday August 8, 2008 at 2:00pm at Fellowship Reformed Church, 300 N 168th Ave with Rev. James Baar Jr. and Rev. Sara Beaver-Vogel officiating.

A private memorial service will be held at Crystal Falls, MI at a later date.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial Contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland.
