Benjamin Gillmer

(Sparta) Benjamin Douglas Gillmer, age 22, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 14, 2008. Ben was blessed with an amazing talent for playing the guitar. He had fingers and a heart of gold. Those who had the priveledge of knowing Ben knew of his love of family and friends. He believed in living his life to the maximum and never settled for the ordinary. He will be lovingly missed by his parents, Cindy and Jim Crawford, Ron and Christine Humphreys; sisters, Kayly and Samantha; brothers, Nicholas and Jesse, Joseph, Jagger, Ben; nephew, Kaden; grandparents, Karen Gillmer, Irv and Nancy Humphreys, Mary Crawford, Rosalie McLenithan; his best friend, Zack Ridgeway; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 18, 3:00 p.m. at the Sparta Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Smith officiating. Interment in Hilton Cemetery, Casnovia. Friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Wednesday, 7 to 9 and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Ben will lie in state on Friday one hour prior to the service at the Church on Friday.
