Jane (Wierenga) Derks

(Wierenga) Jane Derks, age 96, of Byron Center, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 13, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Derks, her parents and nine siblings. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Harley (Betty) Derks, Judy (John) VanLoo, and James (Hilda) Derks; her five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and in-laws, Ann Diekema, Evelyn Koppenol, and Melvin Daining. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Second CRC of Byron Center, 7588 Byron Center S.W., with Rev. John Douma officiating. Interment will be at Winchester Cemetery. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th S.W., Byron Center.
