Phyllis Strasser

Mrs. Phyllis Strasser, age 86, passed away, Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in Muskegon. She was born July 31, 1921 in Manistique, MI to Charles and Hilda Frans and has lived in the Muskegon area most of her life. Mrs. Strasser was a receptionist for Dr. Wells for over 10 years and had also worked for the Muskegon Public Schools lunch program for many years. She was a member of the PTA at Nims Elementary School for many years. On May 10, 1947, she married Warren J. Strasser in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2001. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, David Strasser of Plano, TX, and Mark (Diane) Strasser of Muskegon; 2 grandchildren, Kimberley (Tory) Grodstein and Ryan Strasser; she is also survived by 1 sister, Ruth Johnson of North Muskegon and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded death by 3 brothers and 8 sisters. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Monday, May 5, 2008 at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor Richard Bennett officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Sunday and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS in honor of Phyllis may be given to The American Cancer Society. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery.
