Daniel Murray, aged 64, beloved husband and father, went to heaven after a brief illness. Leaving behind his loving wife, Pam Kozar Murray of 39 years; cherished daughter, Leigh (David) Murray-VanderMolen; son, Mike (Jamie) Murray; precious grandchildren, Jason, Eleanor, William and Henry whom he loved so much; brother, Michael (Diane) Murray of Portland, OR. He will be terribly missed by his sister-in-law, Sandy Kozar-Beurkens who was his loyal secretary and voice for 29 years; his brother-in-law, John (Lisa) Kozar who Dan helped raise and cared for for 48 years; his loving nieces and nephew; aunts and many cousins. He will be missed by faithful friends of 49 years, Peter Rigas and Mart Kloostra and close friends whom he shared many wonderful times together, his clients and anyone who met him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Dene Murray. Dan graduated in 1961 from Union High School, from Grand Rapids Junior College in 1963, Western Michigan University in 1965 and Wayne State University Law School in 1969 where he received his Juris Cum Laude Doctor degree with Honors. He was a member of the Michigan Bar Association since 1969, past president of the Coopersville Public School Board 1980-1984, chairman of the Tallmadge Township Planning Commission and a member of SCCA Club Auto Racing. Memorial services will be Saturday 11:00 a.m. at Richmond Reformed Church, 1814 Walker, NW, Pastor Gerald VanderVelde, officiating. Visitation Friday 5 to 9 p.m. at the O'Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE. Memorial contributions may be made to the Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adams Way, Randleman, NC 27317. Dan lived his life the way he wanted and always told his family "If anything happens to me, I have no regrets, I've had a wonderful life." We shall miss him deeply. Until we meet again.
