Robert Flanner

Mr. Robert Flanner, age 71, of Holland, formerly of Fennville, died Thursday, February 7, 2008 at the University of Michigan Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mae Flanner in 2005, and by his parents, Merle and Bunny Flanner.

Robert was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the army. He worked for TLC until retirement in September, 2004. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and various motor sports.

Robert is survived by his children, Linda and Peter Boucher of Renmark, South Australia, Kathy and Tim Coopmans of Allegan, Roberta and Jon Mayhew of Allegan, Glen and Sherry Flanner of Holland; grandchildren, Brandon Bouwman of Portland, Oregon, Tara Bouwman of Allegan, Jessica Mayhew of Grand Rapids, Alyssa Mayhew of Allegan, David Holmquist of Holland, Daniel Holmquist of Holland; fiancee, Patti Gibson of Holland; brothers and sister, Chuck and Judy Flanner of Fennville, Ken and Char Flanner of Las Vegas, Carol Glunz of Illinois; in-laws, Gus and Pat Knikelbine of Fennville, Dan and Nancy Knikelbine of Fennville, Betty Boeskool of Plainwell, Willard Knikelbine of Allegan.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at Notier-Ver Lee-Langeland Funeral Chapel, 315 E. 16th St., Holland with Rev. Raymond Mayhew officiating. Burial will be in Douglas Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Michigan Chapter.
