Timothy Nickless

NICKLESS - On January 19, 2008, after 48 years, our Heavenly Father called upon Timothy Lee Nickless to join him into eternal life. Born July 23, 1959, the son of Roy and Betty Nickless of Grand Rapids, MI, Tim married the love of his life, Arlene, on December 25, 1990. He was blessed with a combined family of eight children. Sharing three young boys, Aaron, Noah and Andrew Nickless, still at home in Holt, MI, the family includes Tim's daughters, Lizabeth C. (Nickless) Miller, Grand Rapids, MI, Christina Peters, Grandville, MI; Arlene's children, Blake A. Engstrand, Lansing, MI, Terry S. Engstrand, Rochester, IN, Aulbrey S. (Engstrand) Sponseller, Atwood, IN; also surviving are a brother, Mike Nickless, Orlando, FL; sister, Tamera Fletcher, Coco, FL; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tim worked as a cardiovacular critical care nurse, and received his nursing degree from Grand Rapids Community College, where he was president of his graduating class. He was an instructor at Lansing Community College, were he taught Advance Cardiac Life Support. He has written a childrens medical book, and was former president of Lansing Area Flying Aces. Tim was a dedicated nurse; his deepest love was of our heavenly Father, family, helping others, flying, building model planes, teaching and helping others to save lives. Tim was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Grand Rapids, and Holt, MI. A video Memorial Tribute will be held Saturday, February 2, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Church, 3355 Dunkel Rd., Lansing, MI 48911. A luncheon will follow the service.
