Donald J. Snip, aged 71, of Holland, passed away at his home Tuesday, January 1, 2008, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Mike and Melissa Snip and their children, Sara Jo Roby, Todd and Melissa Snip, two great grandchildren; Dennis and Margie Snip and their children, Denny and Amy Snip, Jason and Sarah Snip, Brian and Angie Miller, Andy Snip, six great grandchildren; Gord and Jan Snip and their children, Ryan and Lexi Snip, Eric Snip, Staci Snip, two great grandchildren; Randy Snip and his children, Audrey Snip, Kevin and Tiffanie Snip, Stephanie Snip, AJ Snip; Charles Snip and his children, Paige Snip, CJ Snip; Mary Jo and Greg Mc Kellar and their children, Joey Mc Kellar, Drew Mc Kellar, Alycia Mc Kellar; his sisters and brother, Helen (Melvin-deceased) Merritt, Robert and Edna Snip, Ruth and Arthur Langerak, Dorothy and Arlan Potgeter, Beatrice and Harold Potgeter, Bertha and Bob Timmer; his brother-in-law, Clyde (Louise-deceased) Spencer; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the VanderLaan Funeral Home with Pastor James De Witt officiating. Interment Georgetown Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Butterworth Neo-natal Unit or the American Heart Association.
