Catherine E. Ackerman

Mrs. Catherine E. Ackerman, age 96, passed away Monday, October 22, 2007. Mrs. Ackerman was born October 16, 1911 to Isaac and Bertha (Bates) Carrier in Honor, Michigan. She married Ronald E. Ackerman who preceded her in death on January 15, 1982. She was employed as a LPN with Hackley Hospital for many years, retiring in 1977. Mrs. Ackerman is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Marilyn Ackerman of Norton Shores; 5 grandchildren, Kevin (Kathy) Craig, Leesa Craig, Lynn Craig, RoxeAnn (Steve) Welch and Randall (Kathy) Ackerman and 9 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kay Craig in 1972. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 25, 2007 at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 Interment: Mona View Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
