Mary E. Adkin, 83, of Portage, MI, formerly of Casco Township, MI., died Friday, October 12, 2007, at Heartland Health Care in Three Rivers, MI.
Born October 5, 1924, in Chicago, IL, to Stephen and Elizabeth (Juhas) Kraus, she lived most of her life in the Casco area.
She was a member of Casco United Methodist Church and retired from Citizens Bank in South Haven, MI.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Adkin, on March 15, 1997. Surviving are her son, Paul A. Adkin of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter, Karen and Mark Thompson of Portage, MI; 2 granddaughters; 1 step-granddaughter; her brother, Paul S. Kraus of New Baltimore, MI; many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, October 20, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main Street, Fennville, MI, with visiting from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
