Robert W. Aber, Sr.

Robert W. Aber, Sr., 75, of Battle Creek, died Saturday January 13, 2007, at Battle Creek Health System.

Robert was born July 17, 1931, in Battle Creek, the son of Oren G. and Mable (Roush) Aber. He was a lifelong resident of the Battle Creek area.

On September 11, 1962, he was united in marriage to the former Carole J. Hecker who survives.

He was an iron worker and was a member of the Iron Worker's Local #340. Robert enjoyed being with his family and pets.

Surviving are children, Ann E. (David) Ulberg of Middleville, Robert W. Aber, Jr. of Battle Creek; 3 grandchildren, Ashley and Joe Ulberg and Corey Aber; brother, Donald A. Aber of Delton; cousin, Wayne Smith of Battle Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Oren Aber on January 6, 2007.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service.
