Was called to the Lord on Friday, September 1, 2006. Harm was born December 23, 1925 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Ties and Tillie (Dykehouse) Oosterhouse. A lifelong resident of Kalamazoo, Harm graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School, and was a WWII veteran. He retired from Western Michigan University where he was employed as a plumber for 40 years. Harm was also a member of Immanuel Fellowship Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Ann (Oosterhouse) Penny and a granddaughter Rebecca Ann Oosterhouse. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Susie Jean; his sister, Wilma (Oosterhouse) Veld; five children, Cindy (Mike) Van Stratton, Mark (Jan) Oosterhouse, Craig (Jane) Oosterhouse, Gwen (Frank) DellaCosta and Steven (Melinda) Oosterhouse; grandchildren, Kevin (Amy Jo) Oosterhouse, Lisa (Kevin) Winer, Jennifer Oosterhouse, Christopher Van Stratton, Brian Oosterhouse, Alexis and Chloe DellaCosta, Kenley and Nate Oosterhouse; four great-grandchildren, Noah, Naomi and Max Oosterhouse and Jacob Winer as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives may meet the family from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM, Tuesday, September 5, at Langeland Family Funeral Home, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. A private family graveside service will be held in Grand Prairie Cemetery, followed by a memorial service to be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 6, at the Immanuel Fellowship Church (6015 West H Ave) with Rev. Tim Bero officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Rose Arbor Hospice.
