Mildred D. (Mowan) Brock

Mildred Brock transferred from this earthly life into the loving arms of her Savior on February 28, 2006. Mildred was born March 24, 1912, in Kalamazoo, MI, a daughter of Lee and Viola (Warren) Gay, and had been a lifelong area resident. She attended Kalamazoo Missionary Church. Mildred was preceded in death by her first husband, Vaughn D. Mowan in 1988; her second husband, Troy Brock in 1997; a son, Gene Mowan in 1990; her parents; a brother, Earl; and a sister, Frances. Surviving are a daughter, Ruth (David) Osterhouse of Portage; 7 grandchildren; 6 great- grandchildren; 1 great-great- grandchild; a brother, Herbert (Hazel) Gay of Zephyr Hills, FL; a sister, Helen Blacker of Inverness, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., with the Rev. Donald Severance officiating. Private burial in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery will follow services. Mildred's family requests memorials be directed to Kalamazoo Missionary Church, Memorial Fund, 5045 E. Michigan, Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
