Life Story / Obituary

Today, Feb 26 2015, my beautiful and loving wife Kathy lost her battle.

She was taken from us a few minutes after 8 this morning by what appears to have been a low blood sugar event followed by her heart stopping. I'm told she never knew what hit her, and she never regained consciousness after that.

Even though she had a very difficult time conveying her feelings she would want me to tell all that her family, her extended family, and her friends that remained in her corner through the toughest time anyone should have to endure, were still the most loved things in her life.

Her lifetime is commemorated by a 42 year marriage to a man that was no picnic to live with but adored her and defended her sometimes even from unseen enemies, 3 amazing daughters, Dawn, Jackie, and Debi who against very strong opposition remained in her corner even when she didn't think she wanted them there, three sons-in law who are three of the best men she knew, 12 grandchildren who treated her like she was royalty, and showered her with affection whenever they had an opportunity, sisters that cared even when chased away, and a handful of faithful friends who would have walked on fire for her.

She will look down upon us as our family grows still to include another grandchild, two great grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren that are all added to our family this year. She isn't missing it, she's just changed her perspective.

Make no mistake she was blessed in so many ways, it's just that her demons and failing health continually tried to prevent her from enjoying those blessings. Now she resides with the angels and all who read this can take solace in the fact that she has finally shaken her demons, her dementia, her health issues that may have taken her body, but left us her spirit.

Private family services will be held.
