Richard L. Anderson, age 71, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Racine, June 8, 1943 son of the late Louis and Irma (Nee: (Hartig) Anderson.

Rick was a graduate of Washington Park High School, “Class of 1961.” He then proudly served his country for four years in the U.S. Air Force. He furthered his education graduating from Ferris State University. On July 15, 1972, he was united in marriage to Florence Ann Harlow, who preceded him in death on February 29, 2004.

As a CPA, Rick was employed by J I Case and Gateway Technical College where he retired in 2003. His passions ranged from golfing, dancing, exercising to gambling. Above all, he cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren as well as drinking coffee with his friends at Panera while "solving the world's problems." He was loved dearly and will be sadly missed.

His legacy is carried on by his four children, Theresa (Jason) McGillivray of Mukwonago, Rick (Margene) Anderson of Sun Prairie, Patricia Anderson of Milwaukee and Thomas Anderson of Las Vegas; four grandchildren, Jacob and Julianna McGillivray, Dax and Flora Anderson; twin sister Judy (Bill) Halberstadt, brother, Jim (Karen) Anderson and sister Rosemary “Tyke” (Dan) O’Brien; nieces, nephews, and countless dear family and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he also was preceded in death his brother Dave Anderson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015, 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment with Full Military Honors will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 3:00 until time of service at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Veteran’s Honor Flight Program have been suggested by the family.
