BIRD, RICHARD Mr. Richard Bird age 66 of Grand Rapids went to be with the Lord Friday January 23, 2015. He will be missed by his wife of 20 years Joyce Bird (Ryskamp); his daughter Andrea (Chad) Dorn; grandchildren: Anthony "TJ" Dorn (fianc Stacia Bos) and Erin Dorn; great grandchildren Amelia and Raiden; brother Harold Bird; brother in law Bill (Karen) Ryskamp; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings: James Leonard, Harriet and Ted. Rich graduated from Muskegon High School in 1967. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Richard retired from Quest Diagnostics with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors, playing his guitar and riding his Harley with friends. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. His family will receive visitors Wednesday 5 to 7 PM and Thursday 12 noon to the time of the service at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary 3525 Remembrance Rd NW. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to The Friends of the Michigan Veterans Homes or the American Legion will be appreciated.
