Blowers, Violet S. Of Allegan, formerly of Otsego, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Friday, January 23, 2015, at the Allegan County Medical Care Community. Mrs. Blowers was born May 15, 1919, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Anthony and Victoria (Burtowski) Santek. She was a lifelong member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Otsego. Violet worked for over 26 years at Upjohn, retiring in the late 80's. She loved her family, and enjoyed working in her yard and garden. In September of 1949, Violet married Ray Blowers who preceded her in death in 1976. Surviving are her two daughter's: Constance (Blowers) and Art Euler, and Colleen and Larry Fast; two grandchildren: Ray and Sarah; her brother: Joe and Lynn Santek, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her three sisters: Mary, Theresa, and Julia; her two brothers: Ed and Paul. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, January 25, 2015, from 3-5 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, www.gordenfuneral.com, where the Rosary will be recited at 3pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 26, at 12 noon at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Kalamazoo, with a public visit 1 hour prior to the Mass at Church. Fr. Ken Schmidt, Celebrant. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pretty Lake Camp, 9123 Q Ave., Mattawan, MI 49071.
