Phillip Krause Oglesby, 28, died unexpectedly of “unknown causes,” on Saturday, Nov 22, 2014, at his residence. He was called Phillip, Phill, Philly, PKO, Phizz, Flip or Lennox P. Royale by various family and friends.

Phillip attended Racine Montessori School, West Ridge El, Walden Middle School, Case High School, Gateway and UW- Parkside. Phillip, with his curious mind, was an honor roll student through high school and prided himself on aceing any placement test. He excelled at math, was a wordsmith, and had a wealth of knowledge about natural history and historic events. He also enjoyed making music.

A natural athlete, Phill played Varsity tennis at Case for 4 years, making it to the state finals. He had a great throwing arm in football and baseball, fished, lifted weights and loved snowboarding.

Not afraid to be affectionate, Phill gave the best bear hugs and ended every family text and conversation with “I love you.” His recent Facebook entry said, “My greatest honor is to be my dad’s son.”

Phill was employed as an apprentice at Pieper Electric, working on the new Amazon building in Kenosha. He enjoyed the challenges of the work.

Survived by his grieving parents, Wilbert/ Al Oglesby and Kathy Krause, his two older brothers, Brent Krause Oglesby and Taylor Krause Oglesby, his nephew Ashe Oglesby (all of Racine); grandparents Bob and Carol Krause of Waukesha, WI; aunt Karla Krause Sterner (Jesse) of New London, WI; uncle Gary Krause of Waukesha; aunts Gladys Uriah (Vincent) of Fort Oglethorpe, GA, Sharon Norris (Steve) , Annette Oglesby Sims (Julius) all of Hartwell, GA, and Catherine Oglesby of Dewy Rose, GA. Phill was close to his many cousins as well.

For his many relatives and friends, all stunned by his death, Phill would say, “love ya.”

Relatives and friends may meet at the funeral home on Sunday for visitation from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. A reception will follow.
