Francis W. “Bill” Reich, age 91, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014, at his residence. He was born in Greybull, Wyo., September 19, 1923, son of the late Francis and Doris (Nee: Forney) Reich.

Bill was a graduate of the Chicago Conservatory College, earning degrees in composition and theory. An accomplished musician and composer, Bill played the piano, French horn and trumpet. He served his country as a bandleader in the U.S. Army Air Force, and performed with the Les Beck Orchestra in Racine. Bill was a partner at Insurance Planning Consultants, Inc. (IPCI) for nearly 40 years. He had a great love of traveling and enjoyed collecting fine works of art. Bill was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his children, Jill Reich (Joseph) VanHulle of Racine, Jeff Reich (Sergio Elizalde) of Milwaukee; grandson, Alexander VanHulle of Racine; brother, Richard Reich of Racine, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Audrey Ellen (nee: Jandl) Reich.

A Memorial Service celebrating Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tony Larson officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family Saturday at 1:00 until the time of service. Memorials to the Macular Degeneration Association have been suggested.
