Grace Schoonbeck

Grace Schoonbeck, Kalamazoo, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Grace was born August 3, 1924 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Otto and Margaret (Whiteman) Nap and was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area. On November 19, 1943, she married Cornelius Schoonbeck, who preceded her in death on November 10, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Barbara Freemire and a son, Larry Schoonbeck. Grace is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ron (Ginger) Schoonbeck of Kalamazoo; three granddaughters; four grandsons; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A private committal service will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
