Rita H. Barnett

BARNETT, Rita H. Rita H. Barnett, 94 of Grand Rapids, died October 14, 2014 at 94 years of age. Rita is the loving wife of the late Robert (d.1999); dear mother of Patricia (The late Robert Jr.) Hill, Kathleen Barnett, and Robin (Rick) Paine; cherished grandmother of Amy Morrison, Kelly (Marc) Jarvis, Caitlin Paine and Case Paine. Rita is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Madeline, Aidan and Riley. Sadly, she is preceded in death by her children Karen and James. Rita cherished her 59 year marriage to Bob. She enjoyed their Florida retirement years and all the friends they made along the way. Her upbeat personality was always a benefit and guide to her family and late life friend George Tommer. Rita's dear soul and tender heart will be remembered by her family and all of those that met her. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM, Wednesday, October 22 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2750 Burton St., SE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Emmanuel Hospice.
