Harold C. Knuth, age 84, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014 in Racine. He was born in Racine on March 9, 1930, the son of the late Karl and Frieda (née Zollweg) Knuth.

Hal was employed in the banking industry for many years, retiring as President of the First National Bank of Cudahy. He was best known for his love of golf. His love for golf began at a young age at Meadowbrook Country Club, where he became a longtime member. In the later years, he was also a member at Tuckaway Country Club, and currently was a member of Racine Country Club, and a member at Riverwood Country Club in Port Charlotte, Florida. Hal enjoyed the summer and fall golfing in Racine, and winter and spring at his residence in Port Charlotte, Florida.

He won many golf tournaments in his lifetime. He talked fondly of winning the Wisconsin State High School Championship in 1947 while on the golf team for Park High School. One of his biggest accomplishments in recent times was winning the Wisconsin State Senior Open Championship.

He will be missed by his longtime companion and dear friend Joan Hubbard; children: Leslie (Joe) Black, Warren (Danuza) Knuth, and Dale Knuth; five grandchildren: Jordan, Karlee and Conner Black, Crystal and Kayla Knuth; Joan’s daughters, who were very special in Harold’s life: Denise (Rick) Kerry (Marco), Dawn (Kevin), Colleen (Amy), other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parent’s, he also was preceded in death by his wife Millie.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 4:00 pm at the funeral home, with Rev. Joel Lindsey of Grace Church officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family on Monday at 3:00 pm until time of service. Private burial will be held at Country Haven Cemetery.
