Nancy Conklin

CONKLIN, Nancy Lee Galesburg Loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the age of 61. Nancy was born in Kalamazoo on October 2, 1952, the daughter of the late Marvin and Cornelia (VanSweden) Mock. She recently retired from Bronson Hospital. She loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the beach, gardening and loved playing games on Facebook and other apps. She was an avid sports fan, especially of the Lions, Tigers and Wolverines. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Richard B. Conklin; three daughters and one son, Judy (Todd) Powers, Melissa Dunn, Mandy Dunn and Matthew Conklin; five grandchildren, Cole, Leslie, Christopher, Grace and Alyssa; three sisters, Wanda Coskey, Linda (Ed) Hinkley and Lori Taylor; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Nancy was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan; one brother, Jim Mock; one brother-in-law; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernard and Nona Conklin. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 South Burdick Street. The funeral service will take place at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the funeral chapel, officiated by Karl Wallace. Cremation will follow after the service.
