DEYO, HATTIE Mrs. Hattie K. Deyo of Belmont, age 99, went home into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 23, 2014. She was born to Peter and Johanna (nee Slumpp) Keiser on November 7, 1914 in Cannon Township and had been a life-long resident of the area. Hattie was a wonderful woman, beautiful inside and out. She was a loving and devoted wife, wonderful mother, and proud grandmother. She also had an immeasurable love for all of God's creatures. She loved all animals, big and small. She raised many dogs and cats, chickens and goats, and was often visited by her wild deer. Hattie leaves behind her beloved children Joan (Richard) Morris and Bonnie (Richard) Nelson; son-in-law James Dickerson; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Willis Deyo, daughter Mary Ann Dickerson; granddaughter Brenda Heffron; and her five brothers. The funeral service for Hattie will be held on at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N. Monroe Street NE, Rockford, MI 49341; there will be a one hour visitation prior to the service; Pastor Bruce Wilson is officiating.
