Passed away July 23, 2014, at Friendship Village. Raymond was born February 6, 1925, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Joseph and Josephine (Madaj) Gan. Raymond was a decorated Marine in World War II. Raymond was a retiree of General Motors. He was a member of St. Timothy Episcopal Church, a life member of the VFW Post 422, and a life member of the Hickory Corners Masonic Lodge 345, where he was a thirty second degree Mason. Raymond enjoyed fishing, gardening and beekeeping. On July 30, 1949, he married Helen Dobson, and she preceded him in death. Raymond is survived by sons: Richard (Clare) Gan, and Christopher (Melanie) Gan; daughters: Linda (Dale) Burkett, Marcia Gan, and Raylene Gan-Winkelman; ten grandchildren and a great grandchild. A Masonic Service will be conducted Tuesday, July 29, 2014, 10:00 AM, at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home in Delton. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, also on Tuesday, at St. Timothy Episcopal Church, with the Rev Joel Turmo, officiating.
