Age 83, died July 3, 2014 at his home. He was born May 24, 1931 in Kalamazoo, the son of Edward David and Burdette Gladys (Bourne) Mayo. Ed was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korea War and retired from the Kalamazoo County Road Commission. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Mayo in 2011 and by a sister, Rosemary Rayburn. Members of his family include 3 children: Kim (Mark) Skelding, Tim (Jackie) Mayo and Kelly Mayo; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; twin brother, Elton Fay Mayo and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Thursday 2:00PM at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
