Lorraine Jason

JASON (CEDAR SPRINGS) Mrs. Lorraine Jason, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. She grew up in Grand Rapids and graduated from Davis Tech. Lorraine was a loving mother and grandmother. She worked for a time at Knapp & Voigt, and later at Eastern School in Grand Rapids. She loved people, and was very social. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Charles; children, Mrs. Carole VanEss of Cedar Springs, Don and Rosemary Jason of Algoma Twp., Jerry and Sue Jason of Sand Lake; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Andrew (Irene) Galas, Richard (Barb) Galas, Mrs. Eleanor Hull, Mrs. Clara Marshall, Rita (Frank) Karasiewicz, Dolores (Harry) Bukala; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter; son-in-law, Gregg VanEss, parents, Andrew and Lottie Galas; sister, Helen Klompstra and brothers, Chuck and Edwin. The Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Jason will be offered on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2275 Diamond, Grand Rapids with Rev. George E. Darling presiding. Interment in Fairplains Cemetery. The Rosary will be prayed on Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
