Wubbo Mejeur

Mejeur, Wubbo "Chub" Wubbo "Chub" Mejeur, age 99, passed away October 2, 2022. He was born June 7, 1923 in Kalamazoo to the late Jacob and Elsien (Skipper) Mejeur. Wubbo was a big fan of jigsaw puzzles and Notre Dame Football. He also enjoyed traveling and supporting his grandkids at their sporting events. Wubbo was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Uko "Dutch" (Jo) Mejeur, Rena (Al) Rhem, Jerry (Betty) Mejeur, Trena (Matthew) Onderlinde, Henry (Francis) Mejeur, and John Mejeur; sister-in-law, Loralee Mejeur; and brother-in-law, John Vander Ploeg. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Alene (Burrma) Mejeur; children, Gloria (Allan) Terpstra, Joan (Brad) Potts, and Carolyn (Tom) Carlson; grandchildren, Bryan Potts, Kevin (Christina) Potts, Matthew (Bridget) Carlson, and Adam (Christina) Carlson; great-grandchildren, JT, Teddy, Kiely, and Maggie; brother, Ebo Mejeur; sister, Margaret Vander Ploeg; sister-in-law, Dorothy Mejeur; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 5 at 4:00pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Family will greet friends one hour prior from 3-4:00pm. A luncheon will immediately follow the service. Wubbo will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery with full military honors.
