William “Bill” Eugene Yokeum, went to be with our Lord on June 2, 2018 in Traverse City, Michigan.

Bill was born August 12, 1959 in Traverse City to Shirley Ann and William Eugene Yokeum. He attended Traverse City Senior High School, and spent most of his adult life in California, moving back to Traverse City in 2016 to enjoy his retirement. He spent his career in sales, the last 13 years of it was spent as General Manager of a large RV dealership. Bill was a born salesman and excelled in his field and career.

Bill enjoyed history, watching sports, skiing with his daughter, and cooking. He spent countless hours cheering his beloved San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors, and Detroit Tigers. Bill loved his family and enjoyed a uniquely close bond with his mother and grandparents but especially with his brother and sisters, the Yokeum Five. He also loved his dogs. He had fond memories of hunting and fishing with his grandfather Win Chandler. Bill was also an avid off-road bicyclist who loved to be outdoors. He had an infectious smile and laugh and loved being with people.

Bill is survived by his daughter Hillary (Paul) Cortez, as well as his former wife Mary Yokeum, who remained his close friend throughout his life. Also surviving are sisters Linda (Bob) Sniff of Traverse City, MI; Marcia (Marty) Hayward of Arlington Heights, IL; Lori (Jerry) Maue of Jenison MI; and brother Michael (Debbie) Yokeum of Grand Rapids MI; nieces and nephews – Michael Wilson of Fife Lake, MI; Jason Wilson of Fife Lake, MI; Erin Wilson of Traverse City, MI; Kim (Jay) Patel of Chicago, IL; Matt Hayward of Chicago, IL; Chris (Janae) Maue of Costa Mesa, CA; Nick Maue of Ann Arbor, MI; Maddie Maue of Ann Arbor, MI; Adam Yokeum of Grand Rapids, MI; Bridgett Yokeum of Grand Rapids, MI; 8 great-nieces and nephews; His beloved Aunt, Joyce Weathers. He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Yokeum, father William Yokeum, and grandparents Win and Margaret Chandler.

A memorial service is being planned for August in Traverse City.
