Died peacefully from complications of pneumonia on August 30, 2018 at his residence in Maineville, Ohio, with his wife of 63 years, Janice, by his side. He was 87 years old. Born March 16, 1931, "Bill" grew up in eastern Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1955, and was commissioned in the Navy Dental Corps. After serving in San Francisco, California, he returned to Michigan to raise his family and started a general dental practice of 35 years in Kalamazoo, where he was honored with the Edgar A. Honey Award by the Kalamazoo Valley Dental Society. He appreciated the arts, was gifted with the flute from an early age, and continued playing up to the last months of his life. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, three children, four grandchildren, his younger sister, and other family and friends. Services will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday, September 29, 2018. Visitation begins at 1:00pm, with funeral service at 2:00pm, and burial will follow.
