Bill was born on July 12, 1935, the son of the late Joseph Rac and Ruth Lacey. Bill was a people person and never met a friend he didn't like. He enjoyed visiting and vacationing with his many friends and family members. Most importantly he cherished spending time with the love of his life, Darlene Rac with whom he recently celebrated 36 years of marriage. Bill and Darlene enjoyed traveling throughout the US frequently making stops to visit many special friends and acquaintances along the way. Bill retired from General Motors after 33 years of service as an accomplished CAD Cam Programmer. He was actively involved with the UAW retirees and also enjoyed collaborating with local politicians in his efforts to influence positive change within the Kalamazoo community. Bill was an accomplished bowler and competed in travel tournaments, He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing golf. But most of all Bill loved spending time with his children Bill Rac Jr., Judy Nandella, Susan Fields; Step Children Willard Button (Cindy Carter), Valerie (Lincoln) Messer, Thomas (Connie) Button, Rhonda (Bill) Pullano; 16 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory 7 siblings, Kenneth Rac, Tracy Rac, Doreana Rac, Larry (Linda) Daniel, Danny (Ann) Daniel, and the late Thomas Rac and Lucille Rac.
