William Pyle

Died Monday morning December 16, 2019. William was born August 12, 1935 in Shepard Michigan, son of Roy and Jennie (Palmer) Pyle. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and was employed as an educator with Kalamazoo Public Schools for 30+ years before retiring. William was a member of Westwood United Methodist Church. William was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Linda May Pyle; and a brother, Basil Pyle. On August 10, 1957, he was united in marriage to Marlene R. (Seidl) Pyle. Their children include, Brenda Akker of North Carolina, Karen (Scott) Farver of Michigan, and Gary Pyle of Florida; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, LaDoyt Pyle of Michigan; 3 sisters, Helen Braun of Florida, Anna Huffine of Texas, and Barbara Hughes of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1 o'clock Friday, December 20th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday, December 19th, at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
