DeYoung, William M. Manistee, MI Formerly of Kalamazoo, MI William Martin DeYoung met his Savior on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the age of 102. Bill was born on September 24, 1919, in Kalamazoo, MI, to Dimmen and Jennie (Fletcher) DeYoung. Bill served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was stationed in Wichita Falls, TX. On July 14, 1942, Bill married Francis Case, and they spent the next 68 years together. At the end of the war, they moved back to Kalamazoo, MI, and raised their three children in the house Bill built. After returning to Kalamazoo, Bill started his career in the sheet metal/air conditioning industry. His successes in the industry include writing a manual on Architectural Sheet Metal for the NTF (National Training Fund of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Industry) in 1984; serving on many committees locally, state-wide, and nationally; and being a member of SMACNA. Bill was President of A & F Fabrications, Vice President of Wheeler Blaney, and owner of Industrial Sheet Metal. Bill is survived by his daughter Nancy Maxson of Collierville, TN, his son Dick (Brenda) DeYoung of Kalamazoo, MI; grandchildren, Matt DeYoung, Wendy (James) Falkner, Holly (Robert) Crain, Stephen (Emily) DeYoung, Jennie (Ed) VanHorn, Heidi Maxson, and Katelyn (Matt) Huntington; and eleven great-children. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Frances (2010), his daughter Shirley (1999), his granddaughter Heather (2021), and his siblings. 2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight; I have finished my course and I have kept the faith." There will be a burial with full military honors on March 17, 2022, at 1:30PM at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.
