William "Bill" Striebel, age 87, of Galesburg, Michigan, was welcomed into His Kingdom and is at peace in the arms of our Lord.

Bill was born on May 21, 1936, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late John Jacob and Edith M. (Novess) Striebel.

Bill worked for many years for Brown Company before transferring and retiring from General Motors where he worked as a laborer, welder, and specialized in ergonomics.

Bill was a member of the Richland Bible Church where some of his favorite hymns were One Day At A Time, Old Rugged Cross, How Great Thou Art, and What A Freind We Have In Jesus. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time teaching his children to hunt and fish. He also loved gardening, crafting handmade items, and splitting wood.

Bill and Joyce travelled often with family and friends. He enjoyed telling stories of their travels to Lake Missinaibi in Canada, camping in Brownsville, Texas, and Brower Park in White Cloud. Bill often reminisced of building his barn and an air boat for the ride of a lifetime.

Bill is survived by his wife, Joyce E. (Hoyt) whom he married on September 13, 1958; his children: Arthur Norman Brand, Michelle Lynnette Ranes, Traci Deann Shepard, Randy George Striebel and Jenifer Sue Harvey: 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. Bill is also survived by his sibling: Jackie Lamphere.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and Son, William "Billy" John Striebel. As well as many special friends from his Brower Park and Blue Bonnet Park family.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 12:00 PM. at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 411 E. Centre Avenue, Portage MI 49002. Interment will follow immediately afterward at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South.

The family invites everyone to a luncheon after the interment to share memories at Scotts Community Center.
