He loved hunting with his friends and traveling with family. The captain's chair of his boat on Eagle Lake in Texas Twp was his go to happy place. It was there that you were most likely hear his notorious, contagious laugh, always ready with a quick pun or a joke to tell. He was a true joy to spend time with, whether it was traveling to other lakes with his boat, finding the best hidden trails and roadside bar food in Michigan, it was always an adventure. He had a way of making each of his girls feel special in their own way, no matter how much he complained about being surrounded by women. He was a special person to many and will be truly missed. He was united in marriage to Cynthia (Rowland) Prouty in 1986. Both his parents and brother, John Prouty, preceded him in death.
