Willard “Bill” M. Widmar Sr., age 81, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Racine, March 3, 1936, son of the late Anthony and Clotilda (Nee: Meyers) Widmar.

Bill graduated from St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1955”. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy Reserves for a number of years. On May 6, 1961, he was united in marriage to Joan Kaminskis who preceded him in death June 17, 1999. He was employed by S.C. Johnson Wax as an electrician from 1955 until his retirement in 1997. He was a member and Deacon of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Bill was an amateur Ham Radio operator, call sign: KM9H and enjoyed flying radio controlled airplanes. He also appreciated his once a week golf outing. Most of all he treasured the time spent with his family. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his sons, Bill Jr. (Kristy) Widmar Jr., Larry Widmar all of Kenosha; beloved grandchild, Katlynn; 2 great-grandchildren, Brayden and Jaxson; brothers, Anthony G. (Katherine) Widmar, Gerald (Donna) Widmar of Racine; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Hope (Jim) Krenzke of Racine; Rob Kaminskis, Gary Kaminskis both of Racine; nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Randall.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday, August 28, 2017, 11:30 A.M. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St. with Rev. Yamid Blanco officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Kinzie Ave. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church have been suggested.
