A service to celebrate Wendy’s life will be held at Voyage Church, 6339 Atlantic St. Kalamazoo, MI 49009, on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM, Pastors Wes Tillett and Dave Bruninks officiating. The service will also be live-streamed at www.facebook.com/thevoyagechurch, starting at 1:55 PM. Those planning to attend the service in person must wear a face mask and practice social distancing guidelines. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Voyage Church or Reverence Home Health and Hospice.

Age 60, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 8, 2020. Wendy was born in Kalamazoo on July 23, 1960, the daughter of Robert E. and Jeralyn A. (Geelhoed) Bushouse. On September 27, 1986, she married David Park who preceded her in death in 2010. Wendy was a member of Voyage Church, where she was very active and sang on the Praise On Team. She also participated in mission trips through the church, including missions to Russia, Guatemala, Central America and Kenya. Wendy had a creative and artistic spirit and enjoyed anything musical. She was an avid knitter and reader and also enjoyed camping and photography. Wendy spent 20 years as a graphic designer, working for West Colony Printing and most recently for MiPrint Works. Wendy is survived by her parents, Bob and Jeri Bushouse of Kalamazoo; brother, Brian (Gwen Taylor) Bushouse of Kalamazoo; her children, Heather (Al) Perkins of Galesburg, Jennifer (Scott) Schluter of Navarre, FL and Alan Park of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Tyler (Karista) Hill, A.J. Perkins, Shelby (Nathan) Truax, and Garrett and Madison Schluter, great-grandchildren, Madison Wright, Dalton Hill, Ashlynn Perkins, Rowan Griffin and Jace and Lana Truax; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Christopher and James Park, and several in-laws.
