Passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center, age 81. Virginia was born in Kalamazoo on October 4, 1936, the daughter of the late Elzo and Anna (Rop) Kroeze. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Portage. She was united in marriage with Rudolph N. Brey of September 9, 1962, who preceded her in death on October 8, 2012. She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Todd) Campbell of Portage and Mary (Angel) Cano of Cozumel, Mexico; five precious grandchildren, Taylor, Ethan and Riley Campbell & Nico and Luna Cano; and two sisters, Rika Griffith of Plainwell and Angie Mastenbrook of Kalamazoo. Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held in Riverside Cemetery in Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church or the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel.
