Victoria S. "Vicki" Geyer, age 56, met her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at home. She was born on September 25, 1967, to John and Helen (VanMaanen) in Kalamazoo, MI. Vicki graduated from Vicksburg High School and continued her education at Spring Arbor University earning her bachelor's degree and Grand Valley State University where she received her master's degree in education. On December 14, 2002, she married the love of her life, Thomas Geyer at All Shores Wesleyan Church in Spring Lake. Together they cherished nine years filled with love and laughter. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2012. Vicki had a passion for teaching, and she dedicated her life to enlightening our youth. She taught in Illinois and Texas before finding her way to Jeffers Elementary School of Spring Lake. She dedicated 29 years working in Developmental Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and as a Music Teacher, and our community benefitted from her efforts. Vicki was a gifted singer and creative educator who enjoyed sharing her talents with her students. She was a faithful servant of our Lord and loved to serve others. In her youth, Vicki enjoyed serving with her family at Portage Free Methodist Church in Portage Michigan. She was an avid golfer and skilled Bunko player and cherished her time with many friends, who will miss her forever. Above all, she loved her family, especially her three daughters, Isabel, Lily and Abby. Whether they were camping, singing, or shopping, being together with her girls was her passion. Vicki's radiant smile, tender-loving spirit, and authentic laugh will truly be missed. She is survived by her three daughters, Isabel Geyer, Lily Geyer and Abby Geyer; father, John Rishel; three sisters, Sherri (Mike) Barwegen, Christina (Ken) Duchene and Alana (Matt) Depriest; nieces and nephews, Abraham (Rachel) Barwegen, Solomon (Mia) Barwegen, Elizabeth Barwegen, Nathaniel Barwegen, Gracie Duchene, Emma Duchene, Zacharay Duchene, Hannah Duchene, Allie Duchene, Daniel Depriest and Anna Depriest, and great- nieces Noel and Ester Joy who will welcome the world in April. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Rishel; and loving husband, Tom Geyer. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 with a visitation one-hour prior at the funeral home. A visitation with the family will be held from 4-7:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2024, at The Lee Chapel.
