Vicki Frailing

Vicki Sue (Hatfield) Frailing, born August 1, 1960, was called home on July 16, 2026, at the age of 65.

Vicki was born to Elmer and Sue Hatfield in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She graduated from Portage Northern High School in 1978, and went on to marry the love of her life, David Frailing, on May 23, 1981. Together they had four children.

After her career as a mental health nurse, she retired to spend time with her family. Known for her beautiful quilts and generous nature, she will be missed by all.

Left to carry on her traditions are her husband, David, and her children and grandchildren: Rebecca and Teddy Jernigan, and their sons Connor and Patrick; Christopher and Melanie Gagnon-Frailing, and their sons Daxton and Alistair; Andrew and Adrienne Frailing, and their sons Aiden and Daxton; and Peter and Amanda Frailing and their daughters Makenna, Madalyn, and Gabriella. She was preceded in death by her parents. She will be greatly missed by her family, including David's parents William and Sharon Frailing, and Vicki's brothers Elmer Lenn, Jeff and Gary Hatfield.

It was Vicki's desire to be buried in her hometown of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Services for Vicki will be held at Langeland Family Funeral Home 411 East Centra Ave. Portage, MI 49002 on Thursday, July 23. Visitation will be from 11 until 12 when the funeral service begins with Pastor Paul Naumann of St. Michael Lutheran Church officiating. Following will be a procession to Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park – South 3941 S Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49008 at 2 PM.
