Velma Foote

Velma E. Foote, age 91, of Bloomingdale, MI passed away Friday, April 7, 2017, at Wings of Hope Home, Allegan. Velma was born December 22, 1925 in Boise, Idaho the daughter of Harland H. and Edith E. (Searles) Keene and has lived the majority of her life in the Bloomingdale area. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, and spending time with family and was known for being a caretaker. Surviving are her husband, Gary Foote, whom she married Dec. 31, 1994; 4 children, Carson Wayne Munn of South Haven, Carol Ann Helm of Bangor, Mary Lou Hills of Allegan, Janice Marie Munn of Bloomingdale; daughter-in-law, Gail Munn of Bloomingdale; 16 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, Ilene Strickfadden of Allegan; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carson Edgar Munn; 2 sons, Robert and James Munn; and 2 sisters, Joyce Brown and Marilyn Joyce. The family will meet friends 1-2 PM Thursday at the Bloomingdale Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com, where the funeral service will be 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Robinson Cemetery, Bloomingdale Township. The family suggests memorials be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice.
