Timothy Randolph Young passed away surrounded by his children on April 24th, 2023. Tim was born in Mishawaka, Indiana on October 22nd, 1950. The son of Charles Herbert Young and Betty Jane (Soule) Young. Tim joined the United States Air Force after high school and was honorably discharged on December 28th, 1970. On July 16th, 1972, he married his high school sweetheart Marjorie (Humes) Young. As a certified diamontologist, Tim was a staple of the jewelry industry and retired in 2015 after 42 years. Tim loved his family very much and was extremely devoted to his grandchildren. He attended every sporting event, cheer competition, musical, band and choir concert. Tim created many family traditions that included family Las Vegas vacations, Chicago Bear's games, Notre Dame football games and of course his famous Reindeer Games. All these family traditions brought him so much joy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jane (Soule) Young; granddaughter, Kenzie Jo Young; wife, Marjorie Ann (Humes) Young; and father, Charles Herbert Young. He is survived by his son, Travis Ryan Young and daughter Trista Renee (Patrick) Welch, all of Portage; 4 grandchildren, Taylor and Hunter Young and Brady and Logan White; his brother, Thomas Young; mother-in-law, Ione (Johnson) Humes; as well as several nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, June 24th from 3pm to 6pm at the American Legion Post #475 425 E Clay St. Schoolcraft, MI 49087.
