Obituary
Thomas P. Day was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on March 21, 1933. He attended Kalamazoo Central High School, class of 1951. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in 1951 and served for over two years in Germany, honorable discharged in 1954 after 3 years of active duty. Tom graduated from Western Michigan University, with a B.S. Degree. He was employed at Fuller Transmission, which later became part of Eaton Corporation. He held several different positions, retiring in 1991 after 32 years. Tom spent retirement years at Gun Lake Michigan and Cape Coral, Florida. He was a member of the Elks Club, American Legion and V.F.W. Preceded in death by his father, Lyman G. Day and mother, Eva D. (Gemberling) Day. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Dolores (Early) Day a/k/a Lori Day: Daughters, Linda (Dan) Holmes, LeAnn (Matt) Deittrick, Laurie Day: Son, Thomas L. Day: 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will occur at a future date.
